Again have I missed a deadline
In a moment it's shrugged off
Trying to balance easy-going and
Dedication in the right places
Trying to see and show the world
Blinking with chance, choice, and coincidence
Letting it breathe and breathing it in
Because angels don't exit but humans do
Their eyes all pretending not to see
Their emotions cut down at the roots so nothing stems
I stop them on the streets and shake them, scream
Where is your passion?
Because a dream of a kid is worth more than minimum wage
And no matter how hard they think they're working
They're working twice as hard to keep their dream under the table
With the deadlines of dead lines, your voice weak over the phone
You'll figure your life is no game
It is the grand prize
And you might just be
Throwing
It
Away

Don't shrug, dance.
Don't trip, fall.
Never walk, flow.
Shout a while, make someone hear you.
Let yourself be heard.
Watch the make believe lines of deadlines evaporate
As you take back your life.
Just a plea for passion
A word for the wisdom we lack.
A cry for change.

Wow...finally someone SAYS it. I swear...we live in the most passionless world...a world that -frowns- amazingly enough on people having dreams and wanting to rise above what their "Status" is by other peoples standards. It's like...most of the world is just zombies...walking around...living but not -actually- caring or noticing what goes on around them. Amazing work...thanks for finally saying something about this sad state of affairs!
